Kinship, the first Earthship in Victoria

It is a unique and sustainable living space designed to be entirely off-grid, providing its occupants with all the basic necessities of life without relying on traditional utilities. Kinship features sustainable technologies such as rainwater harvesting, and greywater treatment to create a completely self-sufficient living environment. This Earthship also incorporates recycled materials, like tires and bottles, in its construction, making it an environmentally friendly and cost-effective housing option. It is a unique example of new building and renovation of a mud brick house, born after the Black Saturday. Check our workshop and learn in an amazing place!

Skipps Workshop

Sustainability is one of the main components of the Victorian School Curriculum. Children can learn about sustainability and experiment with natural materials like earth, sand and straw to create structures. The process is educational, joyful and relaxing and can be related to many school subjects.
